With foundational education from The Doon School, Dehradun and The George Washington University, Washington DC. His commitment to sustainable aquaculture is evident from his specialized studies at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and further education in food safety management and public policy.
As the Managing Director of Ram’s Assorted Cold Storage Limited since 2008, Dash has revitalized the Suryo group’s exports and processing operations, demonstrating a keen ability to upgrade facilities and achieve significant certifications for sustainability and quality. His leadership role extends to Suryo Udyog Limited, where he has pioneered in experimenting with livestock and aquaculture business models on a 60-acre corporate farm, achieving ASC and BAP certifications for shrimp farming. His work in capacity building and sustainability is notable, partnering with organizations like Solidaridad to support farmer networks and design and implement an Aquaculture Improvement Program (AIP).
Dash’s influence in policy-making as a Vice Chairman of the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) showcases his commitment to promoting the export of wild-caught and aquaculture products, underlining his significant contribution to the industry at a young age.
In addition to his impressive career in the seafood industry, Dash’s directorial roles in Suryo Media Private Limited and Golden Anchor Private Limited reveal his multifaceted interests, ranging from public policy commentary to promoting regional language content and managing business hotels.
